September Siftings - A Barbeque long long ago

There was a barbeque here other night and it was yummy.

There were about 12 people sitting round the fire and one of the youngest had improvised a marinade that was subsequently drizzled on the kebabs that were grilled over pine bark embers.

It was very yummy.

I ate, I drank a little and I started taking photos of the stars, the glowing embers and occasional sparks leaping skyward.

I looked up and everyone had gone, except one - and I realised that it was just the two old men sitting staring into the night and the dying fire.

They probably thought we were sleeping.
