The Good Ship Bitsnbobs (this blog) has been listing dangerously to starboard recently. So, in the spirit of “if you can’t beat them join them up into a list," this month – August - i am listing. This is, sort of, explained here.
1. Can a list BE a list if there is only one thing listed?

Feeling LISTless today with a bLISTering headache.
Still, I would say technically a list must be more than one thing --like a series. But I also think that you might be able to get away with just one thing if you start a list with the number 1. it implies that there may be a number 2. and 3. etc. Even if not shown our minds may continue the sequence.
You had a list one day that was simply
1.
2.
3.
...
which while offering no specific content, was in itself a list of numbers, perhaps infinite.
These are my very specific thoughts on this matter.

Very - in the sense of 'from a doctrine that a system may have properties over and above those of its parts' - hoLISTic of you.
