Just like that, Tommy Cooper moment of the year.

This blog has been unavailable to the public for a few days recently – the result of internal disputes within the editorial staff that very quickly spiralled out of, and beyond, their control.

As one frustrated reader commented – “you’ve been fighting with yourself?” – and offered the following to reflect upon.

Are you cracking up in new ways or the same old same old?

And someone who reads the blog more than me pointed out,

we’re all going to die – someday – but hopefully that is well into the future.

Yep – fighting with myself – again!

It’s pretty much what this blog is all about.

But….

One would hope, that after a lay off, the blog would bounce back with renewed purpose, or sink without trace.

Sorry…

….because what you will discover today is that a) the blog is back, b) it was droning on in the background all this while with much the same mix of drivel and half baked ideas that has characterised it for a while.

I recall a sports journalist once writing of Boris Becker that during many of his matches he defeated himself.

Think of this blog as beckerish.

I remember also, another sports journalist who said that Boris Becker’s grunt arrived at his opponent before the ball he was serving thus confusing his adversary and often winning the point.

This is something Bitsnbobs can only aspire to.
