A (risky) Thought of The Day.

Good morning, how are you feeling?

Melancholic, and you?

Ditto.

It’s probably the time of the year, the last days-syndrome.

That’ll be it. Hey, look, the calendar hanging on the wall finishes tomorrow; maybe it’s the end of the world!

That’s cheered me up.

Come on, there’s lot’s of things to make you happy.

Like?

Well….

And?

The…

Yes?

Ha!

And then there’s next year! You’re going to love it!

You said that before, what’s to look forward to?

Suuuuuurprise!

I hate surprises.

No you don’t.

Do.

You don’t, you love them.

No I don’t, what do surprises ever give you but a rush of adrenalin then a headache?

That reminds me of a song ….. anyway, YOU are going to love this one.

Me?

Yes.

Anyone else?

No, everyone else will hate it.

That’s not good.

Maybe not.

It’s a risk?

A bit, but you know what Hendrix said.

Hey Joe?

No.

He did!

No, yes, I know, but that ‘s not what I was referring to.

Ah. So, what did he say?

Everything in life is risky; nothing would be really worth doing if it didn’t involve some element of risk.

This is the guy who died when he was 27 years old?

Yes.

Do you know what his middle name was?

Not without looking on Wikipedia.

It would be a good question for the QUIZ OF THE YEAR then, eh?

Too late.
