New Insight?

A typical day?

Wake to the alarm and the night.

Dress in silence.

Eat alone.

Leave the house.

Stop, return, take camera, and picture the dawn sky.

Walk to car, sit in car, start engine, drive to the road, onto the road, along the road.

Stop at side of road and picture the dawn sky.

Drive, listen to the radio, and overtake.

Stop at the service station, a coffee and croissant and read the news.

Drive some more.

Arrive at work, park, enter building say good morning, sign visitors book, follow corridor.

Take wrong turn, double back, enter grey room with window that looks onto pipes.

Sit and wait for someone who never comes.

Stand.

Wander corridor.

Fill white plastic cup with chilled water from cooler.

Chase fly from room.

Try to listen to voices through wall.

Use cup, now empty, to amplify the conversation.

Look out of window, watch pipes.

Drink more water.

Find old crossword in bag.

Try to do it.

Give up.

Read about architecture and form.

Read about agro-forestry.

Right-wing terrorism.

Pussy Riot, Trotsky’s murder (as seen by his grandson) and how to prepare a good funeral for yourself.

This last one, I hope, is not significant.

Lots of driving there. Amazing photo! Has a 3D quality. At first I thought it was video -- the sky, the road and the car appear to be moving towards me. Optical illusion.

So, after months of something OLD [the archives], followed by a month of something NEW, are we to expect that November will be something BORROWED, and then December something BLUE?
