A List- of things they tell you when you work in show business.

The Good Ship Bitsnbobs (this blog) has been listing dangerously to starboard recently. So, in the spirit of “if you can’t beat them join them up into a list," this month – August - i am listing. This is, sort of, explained here.

1. There's no business like show business. (partly true).

2. The show must go on. (not true)

3. Don't whistle in the dressing room. (not worth the risk finding out)

4. All shows are held together with gaffa tape and paperclips. (true)

5. There's no such thing as a bad audience. (not true)

6. There's one in every crowd. (true)

7. You are only as good as your last show. (give me a break)

8. We should have rehearsed this. (probably)

9.  Never pirouette with a runny nose.©
