As Lent unfolds in its characteristically 'lentement' way, I wanted to suggest the movie, 'Black Orpheus' to all -- It all takes place in Brazil [Rio]on Mardi Gras, with great music, dancing, cinematography and a good dose of good and evil thrown in. [In Portuguese, with subtitles]. I think it won an Academy Award in 195?]
I was trying to introduce the Oscar theme into this -- hurray Jean Dujardin. Nice movie 'The Artist', and I just love the dog, Uggie.
It was 1959 that it won best foreign film so I guess I've kept it from you for too long. It was a French co-production with Brazil, so there's another link to Oscar and to your fair country.

Is there a new look to the Comment page?
Oscars!
humbug!
have you seen the new Sherlock Holmes film?
Comments?
nothing to do with me but maybe.....
I have seen the new Sherlock Holmes film which I liked.
BUT I have now seen the next three episodes in the BBC Sherlock starring Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman which I just loved.
Why humbug on the Oscars -- other than the fact that it was boring? Best movie of 2011 in my opinion was MONEYBALL.

Moneyball? Moneyball?
Are you saying you've never heard of the movie, or, are you saying that you saw it but didn't like it?
Mx
