Hoo wood have thought it - a wood pigeon waking you up in such a noisy fashion. Must be fun sleeping under the stars!
It's brilliant janet, a little fun if a thunderstorm catches you unaware, exciting when a deer wanders up not realising you are there and both when the wild boar wanders past.

Wild boars are among my very favorite animals, though I've heard they're not to be trifled with. I met one on a bike trip that was very peaceful, though, so I don't know whom to believe. http://annehodgson.posterous.com/?page=4
