Halfway Through the Dark.
I always get to about now – the third day of January – and start thinking it would be nice if spring started.
Ok, I hear what you’re thinking – hopeless romantic prematurity – but look out the window; the sky is blue, I hear bird song and if it wasn’t so bloody freezing I could be right.
In fact there are probably two or three months more of dark and damp to get through but I’m off to look for buds forming right now…..
I’m back – all I found was night, ice, chilled breath and branches cruelly torn from the trees by the weight of Christmas eve’s snow.
today's post title is a reference to and quote from the 2010 Dr Who Christmas Special and probably copyright.
