The Lion , The Witch and the.......
What’s at the bottom of your wardrobe?
Come to that, what’s at the bottom of mine?
Hang on, I’ll go and look……………………
……………………………………………….
………………hang on………………………….
Well, incredibly – some Christmas Presents already wrapped (bought in summer), a bottle of Oringina (hidden from the kids, summer again), Krissie’s box of secrets, and two boxes of my stuff – one full of every love letter I ever wrote you, the other full of stuff: Radio times with madonna on cover, radio Times Dylan on cover ( i'm sure these will be valuable collector's items one day), every word or idea that was penned, complete film and television scripts never filmed or even sent, sketches that were never performed, prototypes of some that were, stories scribbled, ideas imagined, dialogues never tried. There is also room for books on club-swinging, fire-eating, baton twirling and rope spinning all tried, mastered to different degrees of inadequacy or perfection.
There is even a page of possible names for a double act that became known as something not on the list – it’s a great list though!
And a sketch I did one evening that I’d forgotten – handing you a rose.

Lovely drawing. And I recently dove under my bed and unearthed lots of childhood treasures. It's a fun game to play.
Hi margo!!!
Welcome, i'm honoured you dropped in.
Tell us more, what did you find?
You have to settle down for a long while to play it. Feeling the poverty of our nomadic times.
Anne, don't you get to play when you pack for or unpack after the move?
Sure, and I had quite a trip down memory lane. Trouble was, I couldn't take it all with me.
Well let's see...I found a toy gun from my trip to Disneyland (I was a big Davy Crockett fan), a heart-shaped lavender sachet, some bendy-clicky toys, an old walkie-talkie, and a woven zipper bag with cows stitched into it. Quite a haul, I think.
i agree Margo, that would be quite a haul already, the woven zipper bag with cows stitched into it clearly takes it onto another plain entirely!
there's a Swiss singer who's very popular in France with children and he sings one song the chorus of which is something like "if i could only keep one of my toys it would be...."
If YOU could only keep one plaything from your childhood what would it be?
