Empty melancholy.
I walked across the meadow to the empty hole that Michael has left behind and found the two oak planks he had used to level his camping van.
If I pick them up and return them to the cellar will I have to accept that he has left?
If I leave them there might he return and park on them again?
Must summer finish ?
Must life……..(i’d better not go there).

Sounds like you and Michael had a great visit -- he's brought forward some great memories. Why not channel some of the melacholic energy into writing a bit about The Magnificent Seven?
