I must go down to the beach gain

Comedy - you've got to laugh haven't you?

A week ago a supporter threw an inflatable beach ball onto the football pitch where Liverpool (whose supporter club sells the beach balls) were playing Sunderland.

Sunderland attacked, a player shot, the football (white) struck the beach ball (red), the liverpool goal keeper watched the red ball and the white ball went in the goal.

You can watch that here.

Anyway, a week later and Liverpool football club host Manchester United - tomorrow (today now - i went to bed too late).

Manchester United and Liverpool are BIG rivals. Neighbours AND rivals - and not just in football.

A long time ago I went to Liverpool to perform at a comedy festival and i stopped a passer-by to ask the way to the hospital - it was near the venue.

He told me to stand in the middle of the road.

When i went to university in Manchester the locals told me "if you can see the Pennines it's going to rain, if you can't it's raining already."

The newspapers report that the Liverpool supporters club has sold out of the inflatable balloons and that the Manchester supporters have been buying them.

The police have promised to search everyone entering the ground and will confiscate any inflatables that they find.

Looks like the game should be a right laugh.
