It seems that the world around here has gone "new American president" crazy. Is it just relief that the horror of the last 8 years is finally fading or is it a real turning point? It seems a lot to pin on one person, as it also does to criticise only one for the last eight years. Some of the people cheering now gave the last president their enthusiastic support, and the imperialistic misuse of power that is often criticised now has been around longer than the Bush years. Let's see what Obama does about the Guantanamo Bay detention facility and how quickly.

On a different note i see that Mildred Hill along with her sister Patty are credited with the writing of Happy Birthday, as far back as 1893. I wonder what people did before.
