red and gold and...

A while back i postulated that every year there is one fruit, amongst all fruit, that is perfect. (see sep 28)

It seems to be true of autumn days too. There is one moment when the combination of colour and life amongst the leaves is perfect. Today was that day.

The sun too was in brilliant synchronisation, the edges of each leaf appeared etched against the vivid sky. A three quarter moon shared the evening and the trees along the river were bathed in the glow of the sinking sun and gracefully reflected in the hushed water.
