Well, first we had a barbecue, then as the night snuggled around i put a few logs on the fire, lit the candles and fell asleep on the rug whilst my family watched a desperate housewives dvd. I drifted off to the sound of frogs singing in the valley and the flames lapping around the wood like the sea will do to pebbles. I woke at midnight to catch the silhouettes of bats against a starry heaven.
Before all that, before lighting the flames and before moving it i met this visitor.
