Doing my Deuteronomy in Palermo.

I haven’t read the Book of Deuteronomy much recently.

 

I haven’t been on my knees sanding the floorboards of a newly moved into flat.

 

Either.

 

Does that line break work? 

 

I think it adds style.

 

BUT, I have been on an ocean cruise really recently.

 

So it seems.

 

Not because my face is fresh with the glisten of salt spray, but because the sheets of my freshly left bed lie in tumbled waves.

 

There was music in the dream too, though it could have been coming from a phonograph on one of the decks.

 

It would have been a phonograph.

 

It was that sort of dream.

 

I HAVE, however,  been to Palermo.

Recently.
