Evening Thought

E.T

As I write (remember this is part of the archive backlog) there are thirty or so posts written, waiting for next year.

It’s May.

End of.

These are in advance, in stock, stored and ready to appear in the new-year.

Archives of the future.

I just wrote something about my son, then I tucked it away.

But…

I wondered how many other pieces were already tucked, so I started to count.

That’s when I noticed that, titled or not, they were arranged alphabetically.

In the file.

On this computer.

Two by a number.

Two As.

Then a solitary B.

Four Cs, three Ds and then a G.

No E.

No F.

So, I thought – I should fix that.

So I’ve titled this one – Evening Thought.

AND NOW A PAUSE FOR SOME VERY MEDIOCRE POETRY

A Tip of the Hat to St. Paddy`s Day --

Today was March 17
Were you seen
Wearing the green?

Did you run thru clover
Til the day was over?

I saw a rainbow but truth be told
I found at its end no pot of gold.

No leprechauns nor lord of the dance,
No chance to prance, no blarney stone;
Just green beer topped with lotsa foam,
served with Irish stew and a soda scone.

Another poem,
Can you stop her?
'magination flowing
brain a-whirl.
The Italian Irish-wannabe girl in Green
Across the Ocean in-between
America and Alaska
never set foot in Madagascar.

Can't be stopped. More's the pity! Mx
