She has a tattoo on her hip, but the bag
that she carries on her shoulder tells a different story.
She is wearing a suit
and the tattoo is not easy to spot, it shows, a little, over the waistband of
her grey trousers - the tattoo is black and the bag, a small leather one is red.
Her skin is tanned, it could be natural - her parents are immigrants and she is also not from around here - but it could be from the local gym. She works out there
twice a week and she even runs between her desk and the photocopier down the
hall; her tanned skin is toned.
Her hair is toned too, it’s black like the
tattoo but grey shows at the roots; she looks thirty, she isn’t.
She looks
confident - her heels are sharp and lift her up, they click when she runs – but
she isn’t. At night when she leaves the office she wears her bag like a shield,
it hangs from her shoulder but she holds it in her hand ready to fend off any
insult.
