In July, the editorial staff here at
Bitsnbobs (me) disappeared into The Archives – a wonderful place of ancient
lore and mystery where the future never happens and all you have to think about
is the rosy glow of what once was.
Whilst we were there (August) we broke
through into a hitherto unknown subterranean tunnel that has since been renamed
The Passage of Lists and the month of September, here on the blog was covered
with lists.
At the end of the month (and at the end of
the passage) we had a quick glimpse of The Turbulent Chambers – a distant
annexe of The Archives, which for now remains under a quarantine order but from
where we were able to grab a handful of documents that constituted The
Ramblings of September.
Which brings us to October!!
And a new me!
It's the best month of the year no? Crispy morns,
blue skies, pomegranates in the market and my mum’s birthday.
Now the astute among you will have realised
that al this talk of archives, lists and ramblings is really about closing down
and hiding away, trying to package everything into a neat list to avoid
scrutiny and then wandering around in a fairly abstract way along paths and
byways that inevitably lead back to where i was three months ago - which is
here.
It is also clearly about moving out of the
house into the garden and now, reluctantly swapping open air for closed bricks,
and moving back.
Reinvention and restoration.
But it’s a new me!!
Which is – in fact - the old me with a
clean pair of socks.
With no idea what to say….
