From A Very Distant Archive, far, far away. Epilogue.

All the month of July the editorial staff of Bitsnbobs were shut  away in the distant archives. They hoped to turn up a few gems and then post them in thee pages - then something happened!!

If you have struggled through the pages of July you will know that The Archives (in which we have been delving) are partly housed in a magnificent West Wing, overlooking ocean, whale and sunset.

Little is known of the East Wing.

Logically it should exist; illogically no one has ever seen it.

Until today!

This morning as Mrs Penny was leading us in an early morning yoga session – I know she doesn’t LOOK the type – her dog Bundle came running up with a torn manuscript between his teeth.

As e read the contents he barked an barked, ran in circles, lay on his back, barked some more, did a back summersault (he was once a circus dog) and, now that he had our full attention, raced off with us following.

Deep in bramble forest through which only the most determined or a dog could pass we discovered a locked storm door – you know? That which features near the beginning of the Wizard of Oz (film version starring Judy Garland).

It was locked, of course – Bundle had found a hole to one side through which he was able to pass.

Mrs Penny hesitated – she has a HUGE ring of keys in the Fisherman’s Hut some way distant – and then she brought the full force of her mighty right foot to bear, and we were in.

The Storm Doors (for now they have official status, have been repaired, repainted and replaced) led to a subterranean passage, which clearly headed in an easterly direction.

The excitement was evident.

But what a passage!!

The walls had been papered with archive upon archive upon archive.

And each and every one was a list.

Mrs Penny dropped to her knees in exaltation and enacted the Brahmin Yoga Naming Ritual – known only to certain adepts.

“Hereafter this Passage will be known as The Passage of Lists”.

She has declared a month’s curfew.

She has sent out for Pizza, lit candles and we are confined within these walls until everything has been documented.

Or until one month of calendar moons has passed.

Such is the Brahmin way.

Oct. 1st -- 13 days to go. You, Alex, Krissie, Mark, and John are not listed so you must have had the day off.

Hope this epilogue means that you are taking a vacation, oops, I mean cataloguing lists.
