The Good Ship Bitsnbobs (this blog) has been listing dangerously to starboard recently. So, in the spirit of “if you can’t beat them join them up into a list," this month – August - i am listing. This is, sort of, explained here.
1. Nightfall by the river and a startled
kingfisher.
2. The near-full moon in a clear sky over
forested valley.
3. Clouds siphoning away night’s darkness
and gathering chaotically over the meadow next to home.
4. Distant lightning.
5. Cool air.
6. Closer lightning.
7. Calm before.
8. Explosion.
9. Deluge and drowning.
10. Thunder that scared my sleep.
11. A car window left open, a towel on the
seat this morning.
12. An old blue van with a leak.
