Butter!

Hey, welcome to my blog if you have never ever been here before!

If you have been here before – welcome!

Ok, pleasantries done let’s get down to business.

Now here’s a little insight into the writing process here at Bitsnbobs (the blog with a writing process no less!!!) – I wrote the first three lines of this post on Sunday evening just before I lit the fire outside next to the meadow and immediately before I poured the first of three glasses of Rioja.

Then I put the computer down, stared into the fire for a bit, watched the sunset, listened to some music and now, three glasses later when I pick up the computer I can’t remember what it was I was going to write about and these last two lengthy paragraphs are really me treading water hoping that the idea so recently lost will return.

Tell you what – I’ll pour a fourth glass and see what happens…..

Well….

It’s got dark.

The stars have joined me.

And a cat - that sits on the back of an arm chair that has taken root in this garden.

Oh. Hang on , it’s returning…

Yes!

I wanted to remind you, or inform you – depending on if you are new or returning reader – that there has been some talk in recent posts of distance, cool and re-invention.

What there hasn’t been, but has been there lurking, is me questioning whether or not to shut the blog down.

I mean, let’s face it, it doesn’t exactly lend itself to being cool, distant or re-invention does it?

I think 2012 is a year of impulse for me – I have already given notice in one job and I’ve started an industrial dispute in my second so shutting down the blog is tempting.

That would be a real re-invention eh?

But.

But.

Er.

Butter!!

There are a lot of buts in life , but you know what?

No, nor do i!

But!

But I have had an idea.

Since I am going nowhere this summer – I’ve had no invitations – and since I want to do some re-inventing- distance-cool-stuff, even though it’s hurting me – I’ve decided that July will be time to visit the archives.

I should remind you that Bitsnbobs has extensive archives housed in a distant and mysterious location accessible only at low tide.

So in July I’m going to hide away in the archives and see what is there and bring it up to the surface and no one will realise that I’m hiding.

Except you if you’ve read this.

Then it’s our secret.

Congrats on handing in your notice and being an organizer. Life is just not long enough to waste on bad employers.

hmmmm, Anne - a blog sabbatical = it's an idea.
Give it up without really giving it up?
