Painful Reminder.
My sister, bless her cotton socks, sent me an e-mail the other day.
She asked how I was, gave me news of her next exotic holiday and then pointed out that our mum, whose birthday it could have been last month, died in her 62nd year.
She then asked how old I am.
56.
It was her, by the way, who destroyed my youthful belief in Father Christmas.
Who needs a god to remind you of your own mortality when you have a sister?

As she is 3 years older than you, your sister may have been feeling her own mortality as well.
What a shame -- your mum was too Young! A lesson to us all -- live and be grateful.
Big hug.
