Happens all The Time.

Do you ever find yourself driving along……

Thinking about a book you read……..

Which said something about loneliness and passion….

Nick Hornby’s High Fidelity…

And you turn of from your route to go to the centre of town….

To the English bookshop, which might have a copy…

And you think it would be interesting to read it again…

Because you read it too quickly the last time…..

Which was a strange time….

And as you pass the traffic lights on green, and wait at those that are red, you think this will make a good post on the blog…

If you can find that quote…

Though you might have to skim read the book to find it…

And then you park….

And walk the last part…

Choosing a street that you don’t usually use, just for a change…

And you pass a café that is offering a full English breakfast…

And you think, -that’s weird…

But you make a mental note….

And then when you get to the Bookshop…

It’s closed, because it’s Monday, and you’re in France….

And in the car as you drive back, to where you had been going before this happened….

You pass a piece of graffiti you have never seen before…

Which says –“I just love you” – and you think that would be a good picture for the blog…

Because you didn’t get the quote….

But you didn’t get the picture either?

part two of an occasional series.
