Fraid I missed the VW ad and Mr Drake. Googled 'Frohes Fest' and found it's happy holidays. So absolutely, 'Frohes Fest' to you both (and Mr Drake if he's around).
I love Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" (VW video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIOW9fLT9eY; Vicky, he was a sad singer who killed himself, but his music will live on) Pink has always represented joy and beauty to me, with lunar eclipses having been happy, romatic affairs involving sitting on the grass with a bottle of wine.
The snow has arrives - yeah - and so here's wishing you both (you all) a lovely holiday weekend!
I think i first heard Nick Drake singing on the John Peel radio show and i ended up as a student buying all his albums. It will always be associated for me with a time when i went through a lot of troubled or difficult changes and so i find his music both beautiful and haunting, something his own life adds to. Vicki if you don't know his music have a listen to some more, i think he will appear once more in this advent calendar. Anne you are very lucky to have snow, doing an advent calendar makes me aware how far "christmas" is from the first of the month and even on day 13 i am struggling here in France to see anything except commercialism. Snow would change that.
Anne i have just followed your link http://annehodgson.de/2009/01/12/pink-moon/ and -COINCIDENCE!!- i hadn't seen this post on your blog (i do trawl through the back pages on wet afternoons)but had missed this one.

Frohes Fest to you, too! Is a pink moon coming up? Chucking it down here. Can't wait for the powder they've announced for the weekend.
How did you recognise that anne - through the VW advert or through Mr Drake?

PS: Sorry about the typos, Chris. Addenda, if I may: This video shows the pink moon in all its glory: http://annehodgson.de/2009/01/12/pink-moon/

Then here's wishing you all some nice, new snow!
Good luck with the technology problems. Is it Blogger or your camera or something in between? You've used YouTube, is that not an alternative?
Ah yes, had found the pink moon on Anne's site. Thank you.
