Perseids
We are stardust, we are golden, and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden. (Joni Mitchell i think)
Not every shooting star is the same.
Some pass so swiftly you are unsure if IT did or YOU blinked. Others seem so low that only a moth could move like that.
Some are so delicate, they seem impossible but some are so triumphant they leave a trace across the celestial dome- so slow you can lay a wish on their passing.
Last night the Perseids Meteor shower delighted the night sky. We slept outside under the crystal encrusted heaven, in a gauze pavilion made for two.
I woke feeling as if i had been kissed by starlight.
Maybe it was Krissie.

jealous. It was overcast here
Ah, Mr Lenahan!
There is always next year , come and share it with me, an ice cold beer, a hammock to lounge in and look up.
''We are stardust, we are golden .... etc'' I always believed was from the Woodstock track off Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills Nash & Young and that Mitchell later recorded it as a cover.
Could be wrong though
Martin, I THINK she wrote it and they covered it, but i'm going to check on wikipedia right now.
