Time and Tide (wait for no man)
Time is a cruel thing.
One moment we are celebrating the life of Michael Jackson, the next we are pulling his bones apart bones like rabid jackals.
Time is remorseless.
Bruce Springsteen plays 9 minutes past a midnight curfew and is fined three thousand pounds. That makes my local garage mechanic’s hourly charge quite reasonable.
Time is unrelenting.
Every day for the past couple of weeks I have driven past this field (above), each time the green stalks were longer. One day there was a simple hint of yellow, the next day a carnival.
One moment it’s June, suddenly it’s July
Hey, slow down a minute!
