Imagine
Imagine cycling along narrow lanes, the air intoxicatingly sweet with the smell of flowering grass and meadow wild flowers when suddenly you notice something moving at the edge of the grass.
Imagine two large snakes, emerging from the grass entwining and caressing that suddenly stop, separate and watch you – their heads fixed and menacing.
I almost fell off.
I THINK they were Grass Snakes, but they were HUGE and probably person-eating annacondapythonadders.
Imagine cycling along the same lanes when suddenly a vibrant blue dragonfly appears and follows along side at eye level.
I almost missed the bend in the road and followed it into the lake.
Imagine cycling along these lanes and tracks and trying to photograph the drunken parade of spring-time exuberance.
Imagine.
