There's a Star man......

I met a guy today who as a nine year old watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon through his grand father's television set.

About the same time he saw Stanley Kubrik's 2001 A Space odyssey and the two events combined to inspire him to work in the field of space.

He has just got a new job, working on the European project to put a scientific probe onto Mars that will carry out various experiments to search for the presence of "life".

In five years time.

I also , coincidently, bought two chocolate bars that are offering a trip to space for a lucky winner.

Signs of the times and just as unlikely that i'll win as ever before but i'm going to check anyhow.
